Welcome, friend, to the Soulshine Reflection Library,

The reflections, devotionals, and prayers shared here are written as a personal offering to God: small expressions of faith, gratitude, struggle, and hope placed in His hands. Each one is written and shared freely, with the prayer that it may also become a gift to you.
If something you encounter here meets you in a meaningful way, please feel free to receive it, reflect on it, or share it with someone who may also need some encouragement.
My hope is simply that whatever you find here brings you a little more peace, a little more light, and a gentle reminder that you are never alone.
Thank you for spending some time here.

Forever In His Hands,

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in Your sight.”  – Psalm 19:14

The One Who Stayed

It was one of those memories that had been tucked away for years, hidden somewhere deep inside me. As I entered the moment again, I could see myself as a little girl: scared, confused, and alone.
It felt as if that younger version of me had tried to hide the memory from the rest of my life, but in doing so had become trapped inside it…

Breath Prayers

Sometimes my prayers do not come in full sentences. They do not always come in eloquent words, long journal entries, or carefully chosen phrases. Sometimes they come as a breath. A sigh. A whisper. A cry. A hum…

Speaking Life & Creating Art

Sitting in the quiet field, overlooking the valley below, I found myself once again overwhelmed by the beauty of creation. The wide sky, the wind moving through the grass, the distant trees stretching toward the horizon, all of it felt like a living testimony to something far greater than myself…

Golden Hour Wonder

Sitting on the grass at the top of the bluff, the sun draping the sky in gold, I felt a rare stillness and awe sweep over me. The warmth of the sun on my skin, the hush of the early spring evening, these simple gifts reminded me of something the pastor had just talked about in church that morning: “Simple living leads to a fuller, more compassionate life.”

In Your Hands

There are seasons in life when we walk through shadows that we don’t understand. Seasons where questions feel heavy, answers are uncertain, and fear sits close to the surface. We replay conversations. We examine scars. We wonder if the pain meant something, or if it was simply a loss…

Say "Yes"

I want to suggest something to you. Take a moment to be still and reflect on these thoughts:
Look what God does.
See how He shows up.
Feel His love.
Experience the truth.
Live in the light…

Held in the Valley

This world was created from goodness and love. God made it with intention, beauty, and harmony, every perfect detail flowing from His perfect soul. But we know it did not stay that way. Sin, brokenness, and pain entered in, and because of that, none of us escape the valleys on this earth…

When It Feels Like Too Much

There are seasons when life doesn’t just feel hard,  it feels relentless.
You fight through one battle and before you can even breathe, three more rise up. You solve one problem and another replaces it. You gather the courage to reach out for help, which costs you pride and vulnerability, and you’re met with silence. Or indifference. Or empty words.
And after a while, discouragement settles in…

Standing in the Gap

As I read this passage in Daniel, I was struck by how deeply it speaks to us today. These words are not only ancient, they are alive and piercing, calling us to repentance and to intercession for ourselves, our families, and all of God’s people…

Please Come: a Psalm for the brokenhearted

David is often remembered as a king, a warrior, a man of victory. But before he was crowned, before he was celebrated, David was a psalmist, a man who poured his unfiltered heart out before God…

Parenting, The Struggle is Real

If anything in life has taught me humility, perseverance, patience, unconditional love, and how to become a prayer warrior, it is parenting.
Never in my life have I done something as challenging as raising my children. And never have I felt as unprepared for anything as I sometimes feel in motherhood…

Love, Freedom, and the Choice

Every person has a purpose. No life is accidental. Each one of us was created by God with intention, care, and divine design.
Scripture tells us:

“For we are His craftsmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in
advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10

Fall in Love with Jesus

Last night I found myself driving down a quiet country road I’d never traveled before. The sun was slipping gently beneath the horizon, painting the sky in hues of gold, rose, and lavender. As I rounded a bend in the road, I saw a little church standing alone against the fading light, and its sign read:
“Fall in love with Jesus.”
